Vi Foundation aims to provide free access to the best quality education for the lower income and underprivileged background students. As APJ Abdul Kalam rightly said, 'The purpose of education is to make good human beings with skill and expertise', Vi Foundation is determined to provide experienced teachers and essential support material to ensure that the benefits of education reach the needy.
In comparison with 74 countries or economies, India comes in right at the bottom when comparing the reading abilities of 15 year old students. (As per the PISA plus survey, 2009). Also, The Right to Education Act, 2010 allows automatic promotion of the students till Class 8, further aggravating the situation. Even though we claim to have more number of schools and lesser students dropping out, the biggest challenge we as a country are facing is the quality of education imparted to the students.
Don’t you think quality education with the best resources is the right of every student irrespective of their socio-economic background?
